  • Front-end Developer

    The day-to-day:

    You will be coding websites in clean, cross-browser compatible, standards-compliant HTML and CSS. Sometimes these websites will be static and sometimes they will be using a CMS (ExpressionEngine is our CMS of choice). You will be working hand-in-hand with designers and writers, discussing layout options and strategy. For some projects, the designer may have only mocked up a home page, in which case you may need to do a little layout and design work for inner pages. You will periodically talk to clients about projects you are working on. You will sometimes have to learn new methods or technologies – on your own – in order to complete a project.

    Must haves:

    • Fluent in HTML/CSS
    • Experience with JavaScript (jQuery is our library of choice) and PHP
    • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
    • Ability to work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced, priority-driven environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work with clients face-to-face
    • Passionate about the industry and always looking to evolve your craft

    Nice to haves:

    • Experience with HTML5 and browser quicks and fallbacks
    • Experience designing for the web
    • Experience with ExpressionEngine
    • Experience with responsive and mobile design
